Current Careers at GenTex

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform installation and maintenance tasks including but not limited to hydraulic and pneumatic, DC electrical, and data acquisition systems; pump rebuilds, new builds, retrofits, and repairs

    • Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts and chains to precise tolerances; align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments

    • Read diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to determine work procedures

    • Ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards

    • Safely operate tools

    • Follow instructions; work cohesively with team

    • Other duties as assigned

    Technical and Safety Qualifications:

    • Actively registered Apprentice Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

    • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic, DC electrical, and data acquisition systems, and pump rebuilds

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

    • Safely operate hand and power tools; adhere to and promote safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment

    • Experience operating mobile oilfield equipment an asset

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset

    • Confined Space and Forklift certification are assets

    • Valid Driver’s License with good Driver’s Abstract

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Use GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and TIG welding processes to fabricate, fit, and assemble components for custom fabrications

    • Read and understand manufacturing drawings

    • Safely operate manual or semi-manual welding equipment to fuse metal pieces

    • Ensure welds meet specifications and meet or exceed quality standards

    • Continually learn and grow

    • Other duties as assigned

    Key Attributes and Competencies:

    • Safety attitude! Able to safely operate a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery

    • Registered 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Welder

    • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

    • Aluminum welding experience an asset

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset

    • Overhead Crane experience an asset

    • Confined Space training an asset

    • Forklift certification an asset
