QUALITY MATTERS: GenTex Heaters Proven More Efficient

GenTex heaters have been tested against our competitors, and it has been continually proven that our heaters are both more efficient, and durable, due to their superior design. Our heaters have consistently proven to be 10-15% more efficient than our Canadian competitors, and up to 25% more efficient than heaters manufactured by our American competitors. Increased efficiency allows GenTex customers to save on fuel, and with the rising cost of fuel, customer savings are adding up quick!  A recent study has shown that with a 15% increase in efficiency, and the associated fuel savings, a GenTex™ heater will pay for itself in one year, and with a 25% increase in efficiency, a GenTex heater will pay for itself in as little as seven months.

Red Deer company wins contract in India

EDMONTON – A Red Deer oilfield manufacturing company has been awarded a major contract in India. With the help of Alberta Economic Development (AED) and the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), General Hot Oilers Inc. has obtained a $600,000 contract to supply a hot oil circulation unit to the Oil and Natural Gas Company of India, a state-owned petroleum company.

General Hot Oilers Inc. designs and manufactures hot oil and pressure units for domestic and international markets. The Alberta firm has more than 75 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and currently exports its equipment and units to China, Russia and the United States.

“I’m extremely pleased that General Hot Oilers Inc was awarded this contract. It clearly shows that Alberta firms are globally competitive. It also demonstrates the success of the partnership between AED and the CCC, and how this partnership can help Alberta business access world markets and increase sales internationally,” said Mark Norris, Minister of Alberta Economic Development.

“CCC’s partnership with AED is a great benefit to Alberta companies. Their cooperation and support have been extremely beneficial and crucial to securing a contract in the international market,” said Garett Cupples, President, General hot Oilers Inc.

AED provided export advice and project development assistance to General Hot Oilers Inc. and put them in touch with the CCC, which helped the company to obtain pre-shipment export financing.

AED works to increase Alberta’s exports and to attract investment to the province. CCC, an export sales agency owned by the Government of Canada, works with Canadian exporters and international buyers to negotiate export contracts and to assist with sales. CCC specializes in sales to foreign governments and offers a unique government-backed guarantee to contact performance. It also helps companies to access commercial sources of pre-shipment, export financing.

Last year, Alberta companies exported more than $41 million worth of goods to India.
